Rebelcast is a political podcast that blends a rebellious voice with modern cultural commentary. Hosted on YouTube, the show required a bold and recognizable visual identity that could translate across multiple content types: thumbnails, banners, profile icons, and in-video graphics. The branding needed to strike a balance between seriousness and edge, capturing the host’s tone while standing out in a saturated media environment.
-
As a brand-new project, Rebelcast needed a complete visual identity built from the ground up. The design had to communicate energy, opinion, and clarity in a fast-moving YouTube landscape. It needed to feel modern and rebellious while remaining clean, legible, and scalable across various digital formats and screen sizes.
-
The logo is type-based, constructed from bold Helvetica and manipulated to form a stretched and compressed layout that resembles the shape of a sound wave, subtly nodding to voice, amplification, and broadcast. This directional form gives the logo a unique silhouette and reinforces the assertive tone of the podcast.
A minimal color palette, anchored by a sophisticated, desaturated red, was chosen to reflect the political leanings of the show without resorting to cliché. The overall design language is clean, modern, and intentionally forceful, capturing the podcast’s serious editorial voice with a rebellious twist. -
